Perfect Mommy

Kid just snuggled into his duvet and whispered: "You're the perfect mom for me. I'm not saying that there aren't better moms out there somewhere, probably moms that aren't lazy and can make cookies, but for me, you're just right."

  1. I, on the other hand, had my son call me "mediocre mom" tonight. It's funny when my coworkers call me that, not when my child does. And all because I'm putting a Pizza Pop in my daughter's lunch THIS ONE TIME.

RT @badtaglines Eggo. Waffles for moms who don't have time to love, but do own a toaster.

  2. I was enjoying toaster waffles this morning WITH my boys. I feel that running around the kitchen might look like love to some because it has been packaged and sold as such. But instead of SERVING fresh waffles to my kids today, I sat down and we talked about a new book we're reading. I tend to err toward the "show honest interest and meaningful connection" when it comes to parenting. Thanks, Toaster, for making my job easier. Of all my appliances I love you the second. (Come on, T. Even you love the Coffee Maker more than you love me.)

Plus, I still think you should blame the cooking thing on the oven! :)

  4. Wow. The sweetest thing I've ever heard from a kid to their mom. Kudos to you both for being the perfect pair. :-)
